This was an amazing day trip!! The animals are truly majestic, and this is a very rare opportunity to see them literally up front and VERY personal!! Feeding them (very happily) from a safari provided bucket is great. Not the largest we have ever been to but just as exciting and fun. It was a great experience for a drive-thru which was probably a mile long. They even piped in exotic animal sounds of the safari animals on site. They were housed in a trailer-like structure with air conditioning, fresh air, flush toilets, sink, soap, water, and towels. It was nice because each time we went through, we experienced new animals coming out to graze and feed. We were able to go back through at least three more times to finish up what was in the feed buckets. Got to watch him trying to get on his feet within 10 minutes of being born. A baby llama was being born right in the middle of the road while we were in line feeding the animals. Some are more aggressive than others but we had a great time and lots of laughs. Drive-through with your own vehicle and animals come up to your car and eat from your window. Ordered tickets online and three buckets of feed as well. Had to make prior reservations due to Covid and social distancing (booked two weeks in advance). Great day excursion! Took the boys (19 & 22) for a quick day trip. My kids would definitely go again so we will put this on our annual to-do list. The road was a little rough with some pretty massive potholes. It seemed like you had enough time to stop and interact with whichever animals you wanted to. It was a self-paced drive and no one was really pressuring you to go faster or keep moving. You are allowed to go around as many times as you want so we made the trek twice and bought new food the second time as well. I was a little surprised there wasn't more of an eclectic variety of animals, but then again it is Wisconsin. The rest of the animals were pretty polite, including the giant buffalo. We were warned about the zebra so we were cautious around him. If you rolled up your window they would stare and give you the stink eye and then begin to peck at your car. One of them even grabbed my hand with his beak. My kids named them Pecky McPeckersons because if you didn't get them food fast enough they didn't hesitate to reach in themselves. ![]() They are for the most part very gentle and tolerant, albeit little pushy. They are not shy and they begin to surround your car the minute you hit the road. We were among the first there and the critters were all ready to eat. It was the perfect way to spend an otherwise dreary Saturday morning. The kids had a great time on this adventure.
